Solution

The SEO expert began by conducting a thorough technical SEO review to enhance website performance. They also refined the website architecture for better user accessibility and mobile compatibility. Geography-specific landing pages were designed for each location, incorporating keyword optimization, image alt texts, and FAQ sections. Google Ads were activated for immediate visibility and brand awareness, while link-building efforts resulted in over 60 valuable backlinks from relevant bloggers in the niche.

Strategic Keyword Research:

Dive into local keyword research using tools like Google Keyword Planner.

Geography-Specific Landing Pages:

Design SEO-centric landing pages for each location, ensuring keyword optimization, image alt texts, varied keyword inclusions, and FAQ sections.

Step #4. Google My Business (GMB) Enhancement

For local businesses, optimizing GMB is paramount. Besides optimizing for standard Google results, it’s vital to boost visibility on Google Maps. Therefore, prioritize your GMB listing by:
● Consistently verifying NAP (Name, Address, Phone Number) details.
● Updating business hours.
● Linking directly to location-specific pages on your website.
● Adding a plethora of portfolio pictures.
● Facilitating direct links for customer reviews. Avoid shortcuts, like fake reviews, as they
can harm your listing. Instead, aim for genuine reviews at a steady pace.
● Finally, invest time in local citations, which we’ll dive into later in Step #6.

Step #5. Activate Google Ads for Quick Wins

Although not an SEO method, Google Ads offers immediate visibility and potential customer engagement. The caveat? It’s costly, especially in metropolitan areas. However, while organic SEO remains more effective in the long run, ads can initiate leads and enhance brand awareness. Additionally, increased brand searches can indirectly enhance your SEO.

Step #6. Harness Local NAP Citations

A citation includes mentions of your business’s name, address, phone number, and optionally, the website. These local mentions boost your local SEO credibility. Two approaches exist for building citations:
1. Manually searching and submitting business details to directories.
2. Utilizing tools like Brightlocal for more rapid submissions.
Ensure NAP consistency for maximum impact.

Step #7. Prioritize Link-Building

Acquiring backlinks is essential. Our strategy for our interior design client included:
● Drafting a monthly list of bloggers within the niche.
● Reaching out through platforms like Snov.io for guest posts or link placements.
● Cultivating relationships with these bloggers, resulting in over 60 valuable backlinks.
It’s acceptable to invest in backlinks, but avoid dubious sources and excessive links from one domain.

Bonus Step #8. Essential Tips

● Regularly review your progress. Utilize Google Search Console for insights.
● Monitor essential metrics like CTR, and adapt accordingly.
● Examine backlinks periodically, replacing any lost ones.

● Before committing substantial resources to SEO, ensure it aligns with your ROI
